MOSES, A MAN OF DESTINY - PART 5
INTRODUCTION:
In
the last part of this series, we saw the beginning of
the great conversation between God and Moses as the
Almighty was trying to convince the Shepherd to become
a deliverer. Today, we shall continue to look at the
conversation as we study two vital verses in Exodus
3. May the Lord bless us tremendously as we study at
His feet in Jesus Name. Amen.
1.
THE I AM THAT I AM
Moses asked God to introduce Himself. The Almighty told
Moses that His name is I AM. In response to an unvoiced
query from Moses as to which I AM, God made it clear
that He is THAT I AM. That I am that created heaven
and earth, that made man from the dust of the earth,
that said, "Let there be light" and there
was light. Today, we know much more about that I AM
than Moses did. For example, we now know that He is
that I AM that made way in the red sea, that brought
water out of the rock, that raised the dead, etc. the
I AM THAT I AM that is our Father, Saviour, Friend and
Supporter.
