THE BLESSINGS OF ABRAHAM - PART 3

INTRODUCTION:

In this series, we have so far learnt for the call of Abraham, God's numerous promises to him, the conditions for the promises and finally the covenant between God and Abraham. In this concluding part of the series, we want to look closely at Abraham, the man who is called "The friend of God" Jam. 2:23. May the Lord Himself teach us in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. AFRIEND OF GOD MUST BE CLEAN, INSIDE AND OUTSIDE

In Gen. 18, there is a lot of intimate information about Abraham. Some of these are (i) He was observant (ii) He never allowed opportunities to slip him by (iii) He was humble (iv) he was courteous (v) he was hygienic (vi) he was hospitable, (vii) he was agile, not sluggish (viii) he was willing to serve, (ix) he was polite, well-mannered and (x) he was an intercessor.

2. IF YOU WANT THE BLESSINGS OF ABRAHAM, BEHAVE LIKE ABRAHAM.

In Gen. 21 and 22, we find that God began to fulfill His promises and Abraham began to keep his part of the covenant with God. Soon there was Daughter in the household of Abraham. Even when the great test came, Abraham our Lord Jesus Christ, these blessings of Abraham can be ours, provided we behave as true children of Abraham.
