DIGGING DEEP NO 207
THAT MAN ENOCH
INTRODUCTION:
The Bible does not give us too many
details about the man Enoch. He is the son of Jarred,
Gen. 5:18 and the father of many sons and daughters,
the prominent of who was Methuselah, Gen. 5: 21- 22.
But the most striking statements about Enoch were that
he walked with God'' , and "God took him'. May
the Lord teach us about this great saint tonight for
our own benefits, Jesus Name. Amen.
1.
ENOCH
MUST HAVE BEEN A LONELY MAN. BUT HE WAS NEVER REALLY
ALONE.
Anyone who decides to walk with God must have decided
to be out of Steps with the world and its changing fashions.
Such a fellow must focus his attention on God only.
He / She must believe firmly that it is possible to
walk with a holy God through living a victorious, holy
life. Such a person will be lonely because he cannot
have many friends, but surely he will never be alone
because God will keep him company.

8: 38; Heb. 12:2; Col. 3:1-2; Matt. 5:48; 1 Pet. 1:
15-16; Heb. 13: 5.
2.
ENOCH PLEASED GOD. THAT
IS A COMPREHENSIVE TESTIMONIAL.
From the fact that Enoch pleased God,
we can deduce a lot of information: (i) He must have
been a man of faith (ii) He must have been full of praises
of God (iii) He must have been a giver (iv) he must
have served God through love for God (V) He must have
witnessed for God. No wonder God took him!
